Uh-oh, Bank Account Confusion

Hello!
I popped into HSBC today as I wanted to talk through overdraft options. But my account was a "graduate one" when I'm not a graduate yet. I also never made my normal account into a student one.
The very nice lady said that it wasn't possible to revert my graduate account into a student one, but instead could just transfer over to a new account (with a new number and such) and get rid of my old account.
This is all fine. I just need to notify the student loan people of my new account. Only problem is, I no longer know my old account number which the student loan people need. I also don't have my old debit card with it on either so I'm a bit stuck on how to find it out.
Any tips?

It should be on the statements for your old account.0

I you can not find the statements ask the bank for it. Of course you will need to take ID along with you.0

If you are getting paper statements and have only just closed the account within the last few days, you will get a final closing statement.David
