Spark Energy have me going round the houses
Hello all,
I have a rather annoying problem with spark energy and despite my repeated efforts it doesn't seem to be being resolved.
On 13/09/2010 I moved into a new rental property, and the landlord automatically signed me up to Spark energy. On the first of October my first bill came through, I noticed that my electrical start reading was wrong; their initial reading said 4500 and the meter was actually reading 3500.
So I rang them up and explained, the woman was more than helpful and said it would take a while to sort out.
The next thing I know a debt collector is sending me letters, so I ring them and explain the situation. The debt collector who was also very helpful said no worries we'll stop chasing you and pass this information back to Spark Energy but it will a while for the problem to be resolved as its not straight forward.
The next thing I know its late January and I get an automated phone call from Spark Energy, the first of many. Which I answer and explain the problem, giving the correct start reading and the most up to date meter reading as I have on me. By the middle of February this was happening 3-5 times a week.
The start of March comes and another letter from the debt collector comes, so I ring them explain again. All goes quite for 2 weeks and now the automated system is hounding me again.
No matter who I speak to, everyone is very polite but nothing ever gets resolved and it just keeps going round and round.
Could anyone give me any advise on what I can do?
Thanks in advance.

Hi, would you please clarify whether you're referring to the Spark Energy in the UK or the US? We'd love to assist you if we're able to!
