I would normally be the first to say good service ... until it lets you down in such a big way - had a £1000 HD TV delivered, didn't work from the start, emailed the returns section, they offered to get it repaired
(ummm, why would we want to spend £1000 on buying a faulty TV??) ... they gave me Sharpserve details, I called them, they needed to get a spare part (this was a month ago!!) I got fed up waiting and asked Play to come and collect the TV and refund me instead of waiting for the faulty one to be repaired - the TV was duly picked up a week and a half ago and I'm still £1000 out of pocket with no refund in sight. Fortunately we were able to go out and buy a replacement one (from Curry's with voucher from AV Forums) else we'd be paying for Sky HD with no flamin' tele to watch it on (Play's response to that was wait for it to be collected then they would replace it ... eventually - ummmm. NO, we've already been without it for a month!)
Oh, and to make it just a teensy bit worse, Quidco didn't work on the original purchase (okay it's now been refunded - but still!!)
Can I phone them, can I heckaslike 'cos the phone number they display doesn't work .... has anyone got a phone number that does work please?
Arghhh, any other advice v. gratefully received.:o

I had to get trading standards involved with play.com  They are great when it goes right but heaven help you if something is wrong and you want a refund.
Your TV is not fit for purpose. tell them you will be informing trading standards if you don't get your money back within 48 hours then report them. Jersery Trading standards are fantastic 10 out of 10 for their service. Got me my cash back :T0 -
Thanks Purple Duck ... how did you contact them though ... the only email address I can find for them just goes to an automated service. Any of the emails that they've sent to me also just go back to an 'unmanned' email address??0

info@play.com is the one I used to complain to
tading standards http://www.tradingstandards.gov.uk/ you contact your own local office first who pass your details onto Jersey office.0 -
if you paid via credit card, raise it with your credit card suppliersmile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

I bought a Dell PC from BT and a Hanns-G monitor from play. I've not managed to get the resolution right. Hanns-G are now not replying to my emails.
I called play this morning and they just said that if I wanted a refund or replacement monitor they would get it arranged. No probs yet.....0
