Ok, maybe should have asked before buying, but, (I didn't), I now have a Packard bell all in one pc.
M D6020 UK by model.
Any experience or views?, I'll explain or defend
:o:o as needs;)
Also, getting Kaspersky Pure as main security. Any views again?
Sounds a foregone situ, which it is, but I value the views here.
Flakjacket almost zipped up

Opinion:
Kaspersky is a reliable anti-virus and tends to do well in independant tests. You can get perfectly good AV protection for free (Avira, Avast etc). However at least you have spent money on something 'as good as' reliable free ones rather than alot of big name AV packages where you spend money on a product 'vastly inferior to' the good free ones.
Opinion:
Packard bell I personally have in the mid/lower end of build quality. plasticy with lower end/reliability components but you have a fair chance of not having problems too early on (ie bit better than the likes of Advent or ACER) perhaps google will find you some reliability survey results.
Opinion:
"All-in-one" PCs should never be touched with a barge pole, you basically invest in a piece of kit that has ALL the disadvantages of a laptop -Higher initial cost, not possible to upgrade, not possible to easily repair if it goes wrong in the same way you can a desktop, poor heat performance. but unlike a laptop it has none of the advantages, ie its not portable, must stay where it is on the desk.
if you want a desktop get a desktop, if a laptop appeals to you get one of those instead, All in one's should be avoided like the plague.0 -

No problem Jas:rotfl:I kind off expected that reply.
But back on the subject of security, which freebies give digital encryption for SFA??
That's actually a genuine question rather than a comment you understand.
Over the last 4 years every thing I have purchased, Norton/AVG/McAffee and Avast etc, has let me down. Malwarebytes has been a s saver/saviour????????????????????????I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Well the first 3 on that list are definitely on my pile of junk list, Avast has a few fans around here tho.
On the encryption side, a program called TrueCrypt is a name I see regularly banded around as an open source / freeware encryption program thats supposed to be very decent but I have no specific experience of it myself0 -

Personal opinion i only use two AV products as they have over the years had a constant high rating from the AV Comparatives tests .

Packard Bell are Acer. Acer bought the brand in 2008. They also own Gateway and are the worlds number one notebook and number two desktop volume shipper. There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.
Wth every precious smile you make. And every act of kindness.
