Just been hit with a £148.78 bill from Scottish Hydro Electric for 23 june 2006 to 21 November 2006 not bad quite cheap for the dates but we have an Electric Keycard meter of which we pay in at least £20 a week :S Which makes no sense why we're getting this bill.

They've charged us for 5591.05kWh at 2.260p to a total of 126.35

Service charge at 10.100p for 152 days £15.35 (We already pay a service charge on our account".

Then vat on top of this.

Surely this is a mistake?

  • Could this be down to a previous owner / occupant not paying their bill?

Have you ever run the you meter to zero?

We've went to zero once but only for about 10 minutes and we put in money straight away :s

We have noticed it has the wrong flat number on it 2nd floor right but we're ground floor right :s

It has my name minus one letter (Hegary instead of Hegarty :s)

Check the meter readings are right, then check the account number, then check the meter number. If that all works out right get on to customer services and ask what happened to your psyments.

Is this a first bill or have you been with them for a while?
    Regards

Will check them and see if they match up thanks.

This is my first bill ever and i've had pre-payment meetings for well over 4 years.

We moved here in Feb and not had a single bill and we never expected one with it being a pre-pay meter :S
