Morning
I am not sure how to word this so apologies if I sound like an idiot........
I currently have a joint back account with my husband with HSBC, I wish to apply for a single account in my name with a different bank, however I will NOT be paying in my wages to this account and will be moving money from our joint account to this account on a regular basis but I dont know how much it will be each month, some months it could be £20 another another month it could be £200, I will set up a DD of a minimum of £20 going in each month. I would like a debit card (although not essentail) but do not need a facility to an overdraft or cheque book etc (this has got me into trouble previoulsy and I do not wish to go down this route)
So my question is, is there a bank aco!!!! out there which will allow me to have an account paying in so little each month as a regular payment? If so where can i find it? Would a basic bank account like the co op cash minder or a Barclays Basic Account work for me?
I should also state that I have had money problems in the past but over the last 6 months have been working on this.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Any bank should be able to offer you this. Some may want to push their premium fee-paying accounts but it shouldn't be a problem - particularly with a basic account.
The monthly fixed transfer may be easier/better as a standing order, topped up by an online transfer when needed.0 -
It sounds like any Basic Bank Account of your choice here will do the job..
NatWest Step account you can apply for online:

Barclays do a Cash Card account:
