BT: Bills too complicated - help please

I don't know about energy companies being told to make tariffs/bill simpler I think BT should be rapped.
It's very rare for me to have had a standard bill from BT in the last few years due to constant price prices and line rental in advance.
However my bill is quite simple compared to this one for my parents :-

I'm good at maths but this would take me a while to work through. At first glance it appears more expensive than my own line rental bill whiich has just come through at £41.55(without any paper free discounnts). I think that is because they have taken it to rolling date on contract (25th March).
The whole point of this plan (12 month contract) was to be the same price as standard rental.
to make matters worse I'm sure it is too late to stop auto renewal of contract. I'm sure we have been left out of pocket several times due to the way they work this rolling contract.
looks like I need to get last 4 bills out and work through.
can anyone explain the reasons for the change at 8 Nov. I want to be armed with info before I ring BT, thanks

previous bill covered rental 8 Dec - 7 Mar , I understand the vat increases for 4th Jan.0 -
At a guess
Unlimited Evening and Weekend Plan -£65.12
is the TOTAL price including Line Rental and Calling Package
but as Line Rental has already been paid in advance that is what is credited and this line -
Unlimited Evening and Weekend Plan Deal £11.96
8 Nov - 7 Mar 11
is the amount taken from the TOTAL credit above as the Plan part has not been paic.
Hope this might help, but it is all very complicated.0 -
Thanks for your reply.
I just don't understand why they have refunded/recharged from 8 NOV and not 8 DEC.
They make the bills very confusing, I think I would rather see a monthly charge rather than a quarterly one.0
