Onepoll - New Website. Any Problems

I think onepoll has suffered from over reaching itself technically. They have had a huge influx of users lately due to publicity on/by MSE which when combined with a revamp (by a slightly inept web designer) caused the slowdown on thier servers due to traffic levels and bloated scripting on thier pages.
I did e-mail onepoll when they started experiencing the slow down to recommend that they increase their bandwidth but it appears they did not listen.
Web service providers will cut off websites that overload them with traffic if they do not pay to increase their share of the line.
It could also be that they only had one server running the lot and it broke due to the ammount of work being loaded on it. This is a very stupid way to run a business but it happens a lot of the time.

According to Onepoll the site is down because it is "undergoing essential upgrades".

I wonder why they didn't think to put up a page saying this?

We will see if these upgrades make a difference or not.

"Essential upgrades" sounds like management speak rebuilding the server and we can't put a page up because we don't have a back up. lol

To be honest, it is worth the site being down if it is going to work better. It would have been an idea for them to post a notice on their website though!

Im the same cant get on onepoll at all and tried different browsers!Really slow at times too.

Came back, I did one survey and then when I was half way through a second it seems to have crashed again.

Now quite back online. I was doing a survey, 94% done, when the maintenance and upgrades message pops up and now I can't do anything. Also, the site is till slow. Not as slow as yesterday though.
