When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important. :D

Morning everyone  I hope you are all happy & up for what lies ahead of us! Sorry to beat you to it Pixie but I did wait, honest guv! :p

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped! Debt-free and Proud!
Sorry I've not been about for a few weeks. As you all know I was in hospital about 4 weeks ago so just trying to get back on track....However had a rebellion against the FL thread yesterday combined with a paranoia re windows operating system so ended up getting a macbook on hp - whoops...... Big time!!!

So that's another £1k added to my debt mountain (near enough)

However I'm away for a wee break (not had a break since the autumn) so when I come back serious selling of stuff..

DV today's (well this morning's) agenda is

*Check message boards - record today's PAD
    * Go to P for new PJ's (have put on so much weight since AD's it's unreal but fortunately I had it to put on :))
    * On way back go to O2/V for mobile broadband dongle for weekend (could take IBM - it would be cheaper but then daren't risk local eejits breaking in and nabbing the macbook and it's the only thing of any value I really have - £25 v £1k - it's no competition really)
    * Go to FF for 2 cartons of UHT milk (cos I won't drink THAT much milk before tomorrow lunch and it'll last)

    * Lunch and carboot :) (pray I get organized in time - have usual)

    * wee sleep (only got 5 hours last night) and then pack for tomorrow

No I am Notpaying a small fortune for the mac sleeve...I shall knit/crochet one cos I got a really nice knitted sleeve for the netbook so I figure I can do the same for the mac - might even felt it - you never know :)

    Morning all,

Not started off very well today! I was up later then I wanted to be last night doing surveys on onepoll, usually very quick & easy & a quick few pence here & there which has now added up to nearly £17, but as Pixie said, the site is soooooo slow since they "updated" it *sighs*, & consequently I was up later then I wanted to be today so I had to take the car rather then cycle else I would have been late :(

    Today I have/will:-
    • [STRIKE]Food from stores[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Dinner from meal plan[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Heating off during working day [/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Make use of free coffee/water/milk [/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Charge phone at work[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Log calories on free app[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Log expenditure on free app - aiming for a NSD though[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Check for surveys[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Enter comps[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Check online banking[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Check cashback - the big one WILL become payable soon, I swear![/STRIKE]
    • Try to find £10 voucher!
    • [STRIKE]Research wedding bits more[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Check ebay[/STRIKE]
    • Catch up on other threads
    • [STRIKE]Try to drive conservatively [/STRIKE]
