im not really a gamer, was thinking about one of these

bought a ps2 when it first come out.. £400 it cost me,

what im thinkin is that if i went to buy this.. then after christmas i wasnt a 360.. what sort of money would i get for it trading it in?

I think most retailers will wait until after the new year before slashing prices. There is still demand for the original Xbox. I suspect many people will be selling loads on eBay after buying from Argos and that will be the only thing keeping their profits low - too much competition amongst themselves.

for the x box in itself the price is nothing special, but with 4 games its superb!

Ah. You know, I never really know why we have an Argos board or whatever board. A super bargain should be posted here regardless. Otherwise people will have to constantly monitor boards for specific shops.

My thoughts exactly....i posted this earlier on but it was moved to the argos thread (i've been on here quite a while now and hadn't even realised one existed)

I'm sure there are people out there who havn't seen this due to it being moved :eek:

I ordered mine and i can pick the games up tommorrow (for 0.00) and the x box on wednesday. will i have to pay tommorrow or will they charge me full price for the games?

As a professional ebay games seller I would agree there is not much profit in this to buy and resell individually (maybe £20-£30 at best) but to get a brand new console with 12-month warranty and 4 brand new quality games for this price is a steal. Any casual gamer or anyone on a budget should snap this up as no child would be disappointed. It may be worth noting though that in general XBOX games are aimed at a mature audience so parents with young children (i.e. under 7-8) might be better off with a PS2. This is not fact, just my opinion.
