I think they stopped the giving out of vouchers when things are paid for with vouchers...0 -
JulieBarlow wrote:Thankyou so much to the OP. I just got one from Totton, Southampton. This will restore my 8-year old son's belief in Father Christmas because I've told him we can't afford the console (thinking at £100 it was too much) never mind the games to go with it so he put it on his letter to Santa and said he was relying on Santa for it because mummy couldn't afford it!!! He is going to be sooooo thrilled on Christmas morning, I'm welling up just thinking about it! (I know I'm a sentimental fool). Thankyou so much.
Just pointing out that 2 of the games, 'Halo 2' and 'Fable, The Lost Chapters' are rated as for ages 16 and over - don't know if it's violence or what have you as I've never played them but thought you might like to know in case you missed it.

Halo 2 is more fantasy violence. It is a game all about killing things but they are aliens and I think any blood in it is green.
Fable is a bit more suspect. It has violence that is again, on the fantasy side but might be a bit more scary for a young'un and it does have some bawdy humour and language - although not especially strong by todays standards.
I would say they are both more 12A - if your kiddy can handle spiderman, etc films then these should be okay - but if in doubt have a quick go yourself first.0 -
Just tried to order online along with something else to try and justify the price, ended up paying nearly as much for delivery as the other item, it just took the xbox out of the basket after i'd confirmed.
will have to get sister something else i guess! feel bad now because i asked her if it was something she'd like!0 -
Strewth. Just seen an Xbox go for £82 including delivery (or £87 if the winner chose Special Delivery).
That was without game pack!British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
Not as good as the one that went for £112!

I think if you're planning on selling these on eBay the best thing to do is order the X-Box from Argos for home delivery then change the delivery address to the winner's address. £4.95 isn't a bad price for postage.
I think XBoxes will seriously devalue once they hit eBay. People might be making a profit today but once everyone+dog has one listed they're not going to be selling for much.0 -
Great deal, I managed to pick one up yesterday!
For anyone thats still interested in this, the Linlithgow and Stirling stores are showing both items in stock at the moment.
Hope that helps someone0 -

I think if I were the winning bidder and got the xbox delivered from argos I would be a tad supicious and check out why.. and then If I had paid maybe £80 and found that seller had bought it on 'my behalf' from Argos for £50 I would then also go a tad mental!0
