I would like to start writing Android apps but am unable to find a straightforward but detailed and comprehensive tutorial online.
I can find plenty of java tutorials but I want to be able to produce Android applications and would like some suggestions about the best sites to look at to get get started and beyond.

If its just basic things to start off with then try appinventor, Its from google labs, I used it a few weeks ago, I made a few apps within a couple of hours (did'nt follow the tutorials just kinda guessed its that easy.
