87yo Great Grandma and 2 kids where could we go?

We take my 87yo Grandma on hol each year as it is the only break she gets. We used to go to CP but she's not too good on her legs nowadays, so it is now too much for her. She is also stubborn/proud/in denial whatever you want to call it so asking her to use a wheelchair for example would be out. Last year we went to Butlins which fitted the bill nicely as there was thing for the kids to do (they are now 11 and 8), plus we could use the car to run her from accommodation to apartment..

We need to go over a bank hol weekend due to needing to save some AL in the school summer hols. Possibly Easter hols, but I also looked at the Royal wedding/may day weekend, but nothing available for Butlins (Skegness). Whitsun BH is not an option for a few reasons.

Any ideas what else could fit the bill?

are you looking for the east coast options ? you need a level area without too many stairs easy access from your car somwhere comfy and how many people 5 U&OH 1 granny & 2 binlids ! skeggy has some decent static parks If you choose sat 23rd to sat 30th you are only using 3 days AL.

We live in Yorkshire so don't want too far a drive. 5 people altogether me, DH, 11yo, 8yo (who is travel sick!) and my Grandmother.. Am concerned about steps leading to any caravans (ramp would be fine) due to mobility issues. Want to go for a long weekend and it needs to be a BH weekend, as 11yo has a 1 week place at summer school for gifted children which is 25 miles from home and we need to get him there, so we need to save AL to run him about, instead of using it on a w/end break with nan in summer (which was our original intention).

Just to mention that my Mum (88) and Aunt (83) still use Centre Parcs. If your grandmother is registered disabled they will send a car to transport her and one companion around the village. Mum gets collected from the car park with her luggage taken to the villa, usually early, and the luggage carried in. They then get a special phone number and can call when they want to go somewhere and when they want to go home. They normally have a standard villa carefully selected to avoid steps but the ones adapted for the disabled are very good. The most they have to walk is 50 yards and yes they won't consider a wheelchair either.

She isn't so that leaves out anything where you have to 'officially' be, and she won't have it that she isn't capable (even if she isn't).

We go twice a year with Mother in law and you don't need to show them your blue badge. If you have difficulty walking they will send the minibus and drop you were you want to go no problem. Pretty certain if you ask them it wouldn't be a problem.
My MIL also hires their mobilty scooters, (though she does drive so is used to steering etc.) The youngest son sits with her at the end of the day when he is tired.

    Good luck.
