Tesco online groceries - payment

Hiya
Hoping someone can help. When do Tesco usually take payment for the online groceries? I always thought it was the morning of delivery, as I have had phonecalls the odd time in the past when the transaction got declined
I googled and that seemed to be general consensus.
My shopping was delivered Friday morning and payment has still not been taken, and is not showing up on my online banking at all. Weird!
I checked my clubcard account and I haven't been given the points. The status of the order is delivered, and the total is about £10 less than what is on the printed out grocery list that comes with the delivery. That list also has all my payment details etc and says how many Tesco points I will get.
Has anyone else ever had this and do you have any idea when it will come out....I don't want to forget about it and have it come out of my bank sending me overdrawn which would be typical! It was a month's shop so quite alot...
Thanks in advance...

I know you posted this a long time ago, but what happened here? Did they take the payment quite soon after? This has just happened to me. In the past they have always taken payment before delivery. Had it delivered yesterday and not taken payment.

Just make sure you've got the money in your account for it for a while, if it never comes out then great!0

It takes a few days for me, upto 4 sometimes. They earmark the payment first so you cant touch it before they ''physically'' take it.
If you look online you have 2 balances - your original one and the ''real'' one taking the payment into consideration.1,2 & 5p: Christmas day food £9.31
10 & 20p: misc savings £2.70
50p: Christmas presents £3.50
£2: holidays £2.000 -
They still haven't taken it. I have a basic bank account and all debits show up immediately, even if they are pending. Account balance shows the same as available balance. Have spoken to my bank and they say there is nothing pending. But, as you have all said, it can take several days/weeks, so I will be leaving the money in the account for a while yet. Thanks for your replies0

Hi. I am just curios if this payment was ever taken ? I'm in the same position now , with the same style of account where lending transactions are shown off the available balance straight away .0
