Telly Ads What Do You Think?

Hi everyone

what do you all make of these tv ads constantly on advertising 'debt free solutions' either the loan consolidation ones ( with the massive interest rate they sneak in at the end in small type ) or the ones that are really bugging me offering you a way to be debt free in under five years. Is there any possilbility that we might have some adverts from free companies.
and to make things even worse OH MY GOD spectrum are now advertising on the local radio.
but i was pleased to see a plug for mse in the daily mail the other week.

  • Actually these adverts really wind me up now!! Im shouting at the TV, Noooooooooooooo!! I always was irritated by these ads, but now I have woken up to the real cost of debt, I can just see all the other people (in a bit of trouble maybe) listening to this crap & getting sucked in & getting ripped off!

I want to sell MSE to the world!!

Seriously, Im going to write to Gordon (once he gets in) and tell him he needs to do something about it!

  • i'm sorry but when you are desperate and don't know what to do, those ads are something you are going to think about.
i've rung up a few but i'm not working so they wouldn't take me.
i always thought 'what if they can help?'
and not everyone knows of this site but i'm plugging it like mad :)
    62;)
  • I know better but some days I think oh it would be so easy to get another loan. The ads should be banned.

Wife - "Who are you talking too"?
Husband - "Mike, at Picture. He's making small talk while he shafts me with a massive loan that'll end up costing us about 15 grand more in interest, guaranteeting we'll be miserable for a lot longer than we need to be."

Oh REaly dont get me started on this subject.

    Rant warning :)

First off they put these adverts on daytime tv when most people are at work. Second you see the intrest rates you end up paying if you take out a loan and how much intrest you will end up paying if you take it out over 10 years. Plus them DMP IVA people are just as bad taking like 30% of what you pay just to write to a few co's and to send them payments when there are honest co's like payplan out there that help for free.

TBH i would perfer to burn my money than gave it to them
