NHS Staff who have leased cars through work - Help Needed URGENTLY pls

I am coming to the end of my vehicle lease (been leasing 4yrs) and I have just asked my broker to look at insurance quotes as I want to purchase the vehicle. I have been passed my test nearly 15yrs (in Sept) to cut a long story short they said I can't protect my No Claims as its over 3yrs since I last had my own vehicle. The price was astronomical for a new policy of my own insurance.

However some colleagues have been able to get their insurers to contact our NHS employer to say that we have been insured on NHS policy and there have been no accidents/no at fault accidents during their time on NHS policy and continue with their No Claims Discount. I have emailed my broker saying this but to no avail. I need a car for work (community based).

Does anyone know of a vehicle insurer that would continue no claims!
Please help, I am extremely stressed
Cheers

It may be wise to ask your colleagues which companies they have had success with.

Don't mention you work for the NHS you will have no end of !!!!!! posting crap on your thread, I think they may have been turned down for a job or they were sacked from their Porters job as the new private company didn't want to emply them.

Look for another broker, one who specialise in people coming out of compnay cars. Why do you now have to arrange your own insurance?
The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark

I quite enjoy reading your replies and you offer some interesting input.. Afterall we are interested in the same thing Cars/Vehicles and Motoring.. You seem to take the bait each and everytime...Ignore it... If people have a different view or opinion life will go on;)

And in some of your posts youre starting to come across as extremely childish i.e ^^... Get a grip;)

You need to ring them anyway to see if you can get a discount for the time you've been driving the lease car, if you haven't got your own ncd.

Direct Line accepted my years of claim free driving in a company car. In my first year I got a discount equivalent to 5yrs no claims. I just had to provide a letter from our fleet manager/insurance company stating I had not had any claims or accidents.
