Is it written in the agreement that it must come from that account?, this seems very unfair and odd.
Have you tried writing to them rather than ringing?. You might be amazed at the written response. Much the same as Debt collectors, they probably say stuff on the phone they'd never write.

done that too, got on to head office and the guy said if i pay the 140 pound i could close it, then went to the bank and the manger said no. is there a letter that caN be written to ask for just the dd to be canceled
  • I sympathise with you. My partner had extremely difficult time with Natwest. Can you tell me how much you owe, how much you are overdrawn etc and how far you have escalated this? After a few aggravated conversations with Head Office I realised I was getting nowhere with these imbeciles and sorted things with Financial Ombudsman.

i got a loan with them, i,m not overdrawn or anything like that, the cccs have been really good, i had to take a 150 a month drop in wages and thats when the trouble start, the stupid thing is if i did,nt pay these charges i could offer them more.might give the Financial Ombudsman a ring and see where i stand
  • CCCS are excellent. Such a good charity. OK, so why do you keep getting charges from natwest if you don't have an overdraft?

the d/d, i put in 6 pound 1 day before the loan is supposed to be taken out, it dont get paid so i no they will charge me for unpaid item, but for some reason when i get my monthly statment i get these charges for unarranged overdraft witch reading the statment is 6 pound a day, i will put in 12 pound 1 day before they take the dd and if that dont work i will ring the Financial Ombudsman

If CCCS are negotiating your loan with Natwest then the direct debit should have been cancelled and the token payment sent with a letter, unfortunately if the direct debit for the full amount of 377 is being taken each month, when your only able to pay half that amount then it will incurr charges (if natwest hvent agreed the terms with CCCS.) At the end of the day, if your DMP is all set up properly, then CCCS should be worrying about the charges not yourself!

If you have only just started the DMP charges will inccurr to begin with i dont know how CCCS work but with Payplan we will be giving them a fixed amount each month to pay our creditors with. The idea of the DMP's is that the companies we choose to go with take the burden of the background work for us.
