Bricklayer's quote...OK? & couple of questions.

I've got a local bricklayer's quote:

1) to build a brick wall (single thickness) to close up the open side of my back porch, with red bricks. The size is 35 inches W x 80 inches H. To tie into existing brickwork and build onto existing concrete foundation.

2) to remove the broken step (70 inches wide) and replace by building two shallower steps, covered with new riven slabs.

Cost including materials but excluding any skip (which I must provide) and estimates probably 2, maybe 3 days' work. Price is £650

I am in the SE, nearly London suburbs.

So is this price fair?

Is the time estimate reasonable for one man working alone?

Is the present damp but dryish weather siutable? (He says it is).

Thanks;)
