Do you get 'Weed' Seeds or similar ??

Do you get seeds to make an area of grassyness seem more weedy grown and messy? (This is the purpose)

So do you get seeds, which can be thrown on the grass, let the rain work and it will boost the growth of the seeds/weeds or anything similar?

They have to be seeds, not plants.

Do you get anything like that ?

Yes, easy to buy meadow mix seeds etc. You could make it a bit easier for seeds to establish by creating a few bare earth patches in the grass...

...or just rake all the thatch & moss out very vigorously...

...or chuck down a thin layer of soil on top which won't kill the grass but will allow the seeds to germinate.

Why, if you don't mind the question?

You can buy various mixes of wildflower seeds to colonise rough areas of your garden. They're normally used for creating wildlife patches. You can buy different blends ie meadow flowers, or for plants to provide seeds for birds, or for encouraging beneficial insects to your garden. I sometimes grow a patch of these last in the allotment. All availible at any decent garden centre.

What you shouldn't do is chuck them in areas other than your own garden/allotment. You can disturb a fragile natural ecosystem by doing this.
