Also worried that if I win they will then close my account (I'm a bit of a worrier you see!) Just wanted to hear from someone who has been through it/going through it too & wanted some reassurance so i dont go wrong.

I am a worrier, too!
Firstly, I would say that if you follow the instructions given by the 'reclaim your bank charges' article on the MSE page (http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cgi...41050760,24632,) you can't go wrong. There are a few worst-case scenarios, including the bank closing your account, which YES you have to consider, but are VERY unlikely to happen. Open a back-up account just in case, this is sensible, but you will almost certainly not have your existing account closed down.
It really isn't as complicated or scary as it seems once you get into it! In fact, I'm loving getting a bit of my own back!
It is not an especially time-consuming process. I have two jobs and fit this around it okay. The only bit that is is going through your old statements, or printouts that you get from the bank, to find out what you are owed. This took me about two hours, and I have what I would consider to be a high number of transactions to go through.
Other than that, I would say, stay organised and it is not time consuming. write yourself a little flowchart of the process and put dates next to each step for when you actioned it and when you expect a response by. Or use your diary to record this. Get a few of those recorded mail stickers so you can have the info already filled in when you get to the post office. Or sneak it into your work's post (naughty!).
As for speaking to others who are going through the same thing, this is what the forum is here for!
To this end, do you mind if I post this PM in the forum so that everyone can benefit from it?
Hope I've helped
