Just been doing quotes on Money Supermarket. In one of the options if I add a named driver to the policy it asks who would be the main driver.

If I put my father or mother obviously the quote comes back cheaper, does this instantly make it their quote and policy or is it still my policy as Im the one who's details have been given? Would I build up the no claims.

Also If i add someone as a named driver would it make a blind bit of notice if they have their own car and policy with another company?

Answer all questions truthfully. There's nothing wrong with adding a driver, if you want to, but saying they're the main driver when they aren't could cause you problems. It would still be your policy.

If you are buying the policy then irrespective of which of the drivers is the "main" driver it is your policy and you would normally build up the NCB.

No, it makes no difference if your named drivers have their own policy etc.
