OK, so what is this one to be nicknamed, Piggers, now you've crept out of the particular thread's closet? We have Squeak, after all, perhaps 'Bubble' would be appropriate? :rotfl:
Lit my first BBQ ever today - always had menfolk taking over and ruining them before - but I could take it easy and stack it/light it just the way I wanted.
None of those nasty burger or sausage thingies here - lovely lumps of cow, two sweet potatoes, spring onions and some fresh king prawns. Cue two very full people and a squadron of stroppy moglets wondering why they only had meat splodges for dinner. Still glowing beautifully now. Next time I'll do fish, I think.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Congrats Piggers, hope it goes well and all that...C.R.A.P.R.O.L.L.Z # 40 spanner supervisor. No problem can withstand the assault of sustained thought.Only after the last tree has been cut down. Hello all; this is being typed from my poorly-station, lying doen on the sofa.
Afore I forget to say it....Congratulations Squeak on your forthcoming younger sibling.:D
Juliebunny profound apologies for not replying to your request for help finding a meal plan thread (good ol' Toots to the rescue there:T:T:T) I tend to skim-read, and must've not taken in your post. Much contrition!toottifrootti wrote: »LameWolf thats good that you have a date to get organised for now - you mentioned 'giving up' totally but the problems it would cause the area guy - well excuse me young lady that is not your problem! it sounds like you have done far more than your fair share. It is the same in loads or organisations - the same people get put upon and do all the work. Do you enjoy doing it?
Usually, yes, unless I'm 'orribly behind with other things.
How much time does it take up?
It varies - anything from 30 mins to a couple of hours a week, on average.
What would you do with the time if you weren't doing it?
Copulate proboscis! (that's a Colin-ism for f*** knows!):D - probably nothing extra, but not be scrabbling around quite so much to try and keep up with my tasks. Who knows - I might even fit in the compulsory me-time on the Fly-list!:rotfl:
Does the paperwork take up a lot of space that you could utilise?
YES YES YES YES YES
If you get more woofies would you still have the inclination to be doing it?
Yes
Is it a chore?
Sort of.
maybe the time is right for you to handover - only you know - but you musnt be worrying about the consequences for others that just causes stress (((hugs)))
What I think I'll do at this stage is say that I'd like to get rid of the 2nd area that I took on temporarily about 5 years ago. If they can get someone to take that, I'll just be left with my own area - and a third of what I'm doing now! Once that's achieved, I can make noises about standing down altogether, if I still feel I want out.:o
Thank you all for the kind and wise words, and encouragement.:ADon't forget the clock go forward 1 hour tonight / tomorrow morning offically at 2am!, I'll do mine before I go to bed, and some how I need to reset the cat!!If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Pigpen & Co Congratulations, hope it all goes well xxxx
Today I have managed to sort out the cupboard under the sink and filled in our census form ready for posting, dailies, laundry and S&Ss.
Kitchen is ship shape ready for the morning and I'm just waiting for the sink stuff to do it's work.
Tomorrow I will manage laundry but nothing else as going to enjoy my prize.:D
