Phew, found you, thanks Hex2 for the re-direct! This thread moves fast so I may be more of a lurker than a poster but I'm going to try to join as level 1 but it will be a bit crammed into the weekends and other odd days off - also going to try for 30 minutes every night too.

I really need to spring clean my house. I work and commute long hours, can't afford and don't want a cleaner, and whilst I'm out I swear the pet have parties, the amount of clearing up I have to do at weekends! I've massively de-cluttered over the past year, so hopefully this will make my cleaning easier, and I'm operating a 1 in 1 out policy on most items to keep the place from re-cluttering.

Thanks for having me in the gang! :D

    Goals for Monday from list:

Monday ~ Living room, Hallway, Stairs
    Level One

remove clutter from floors, chairs and fireplace..
    Level Two
    Wipe and water neglected plants
    Level Three
    muck out manky pets!

    Extras
    1. Wipe woodwork in the living room/s
    2. Sort spreadsheets/finances/meal plans etc - during lunch break
Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!

Seem to have spent an inordinate amount of this afternoon on paperwork. Still at least all my banking stuff is up to date, and I have e-mailed everyone in one of my 'groups' about everything I probably should have told them about at least a week ago. Whoops. Trying to purge my e-mail account too - I have a ridiculous number of e-mails there which either need (a) dealing with (b) filing (c) deleting or (d) unsubscribing from. Decided to delete some every week, preferably a few a day! I don't let me work e-mails get into such a mess so time to bring some good practices home.

Am hoping for a more productive flying week this week - which means I need a much much better week at work.

Having said that, all my dailies for today have been done, everything is ready for work tomorrow, and all I need now is some sleep.

Mrs Chaos - pleased to see little cat has decided you are now "home". :)

I'm in, thanks to FCC, esp. Pigpen and Toots. See you tomorrow.

  • Thanks to FCC for the list. Tomorrow seems do-able as the lounge isn't too bad at the moment. A bit of clutter here and there but nothing that a HHC couldn't turn around.

Heading off to bed myself in a minute. Had a lovely but busy weekend. DH booked me in and treated me to a lovely luxury manicure with a paraffin wax dip thingy which was fabulous. So I now have lovely purply shiny nails and soft hands. Then we were out for dinner last night.

Just doing a couple more rows knitting on the cardigan I've started for DD1. It'll be the first cardigan I've knitted. So far I've done scarves, hats, baby hats, baby booties and baby mittens but all easy patterns. I did start a baby cardy but ran out of wool so now I've got plenty of wool, the right size needles, a more challenging pattern (but not too challenging) and the internet to help me with the stitches I don't know how to do (I've learnt how to s1, psso, m1 and cast on stitches at the end of the row tonight).

    Anyway, my bed is calling!

See you tomorrow afternoon after the school run.

    Night night.

I'm in again - thank you pigpen, Toots and asbo!

Had a busy but fantastic weekend - the gig last night was one of the best I've ever been to (and I go to a lot!!!) and today I had a lovely lunch with greenbee and rach and little Leo :D I have done no flying and only got the bare minimum sorted for school but never mind :o I have (so far!) a free weekend coming up so am hoping to get something useful done over this coming week!

Love and hugs to all xx

  • I'm in again - sorry, only seem to get to post Sun eve's as otherwise all my time goes reading all your fab posts rather than cleaning. I love, love, love these lists - don't always get everything done but the house is getting cleaner slowly but surely (bathroom bin looking particularly shiny this week!)

I am also going to be working full time from April so will have to try to do more in the evenings and become more organised. I have a massive box of paperwork in the dining room so am adding HHPW (Half Hour Paper Work) to my daily lists to make a start clearing it. Will report on progress..).

Once again, many thanks to all at Flylady HQ!
  • Evening all

I'm in again this week, thanks to all at FLCC for your good work.

I'm so glad that its the LR and Hall tomorrow as my family have been to visit on mass today along and my sis and BIL brought their dogbot  So everywhere is covered in dog paw and nose art everywhere.

  • Spent lots of today in the launderette. Was sitting reading my magazine when i hear my name, look up and it's the rather sweet luthier at the music shop dropping his service wash in. He is obviously single (one small holdall of clothes, all colourfast: not that I checked it out as the attendant put it in the machine ) - and lives round the corner......

Having bumped into him at the beer fridge in one of the newsagents the night before, where our hands nearly met over a bottle of Becks :D.

Thank heavens I was reading a music mag rather than some tabloid tat!

Anyway, I have my gig tomorrow night. :D

Will do what I can of the list (ie, not much :)) lots of decluttering the winter pelt and getting my kit ready for the evening - batteries, music, travel card and the like.

Already sort of vacuumed. Well, pointed it at the gaps in junk, anyway.
And washed 2 pairs of trainers, tried out the specialist trainer drying programme on TD, a million bits of DD's clothes and I now have a lovely clean, fluffy and KH3-free duvet and pillows.

The plan for the week is to

Collect parcel from post office. Could be clothes I won in a competition, could be a new pair of glasses.
    Do gig :D
Go to physio fitness torture twice.
Request a new form I should have filled in ages ago.
Have repeat blood test I should have done last week.
    Have bass lesson.
    Hospital OP appointment Friday morning.

    Plus the lists.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.
