If the transaction hasn't been processed, then you should tell the company they no longer have authority to debit your card. If they still go ahead, then you can dispute it.

It doesn't matter that your bf has/is entering into a contract with them. It remains your card and your authority is needed for the transaction. You allowed your boyfriend to give this on your behalf, now your withdrawing it.

If they don't want to talk to you - that's fine. Up to them. If you notify them they can't debit it then that's enough. They can't. Any further claim they have is on your boyfriend, not you.

But it does sound if its too late. Distance Selling Regs may apply - but really that is a right for your boyfriend to cancel the contract which you are not a party to. (You're just paying the money!)

I wasn't suggesting the OP lie to his bank, just to let the RETAILER know that his card was (sort of) used without his authority. The OP doesnt need to tell his bank anything until they debit his account, which they might not have done yet.

That would be a lie, and hence, fraudulent.
