Anyone went from oil/lpg etc back to solid fuels?

you got as bargain - I think that's somewhere between and 8 and 10 ton trailer. Better go back for another load soon:D


We're currently on kerosene but having seen it rocket (despite having a trade account and paying less than some folks) so are looking at installing a multi fuel stove to provide another option.
I'm planning a visit to the Stove centre in Dymen in the next month or so, believe there is also one at Shotts so may head there too.
We definitely have to investigate other options (and mains gas isn't an option being rural)

yup, im on kero "paraffin extra"

had to buy the premium stuff ...as the others have so much crap in them that they screw up the wicks

bought bulk 500lts for 70 pence a litre in november

only 10 years ago it was 15 pence a litre

now its unviable
