Toshiba laptop battery dying

My Toshiba L350-170 laptop battery is dying (2.25 years old), it has a maximum battery life of 35 minutes fully charged and I have decided I must get a new one. I've searched on Google, and there are many companies offering equivalent batteries, but lots of these companies have no contact in UK and are probably Hong Kong based. Are these OK or can anyone recommend any UK based suppliers I could check out please? The Toshiba original on their site is slightly out of my price range at this precise moment, but I might be able to manage it in a few weeks if an original is better than a compatible.
Many thanks.
Many thanks.

I'm the same , need one for my e-machines and have been watching a cheap HK one for ages on ebay but daren't take the plunge! With most stuff I'm not usually too bothered but have heard too many horror stories about exploding batteries!
I'd guess if is CE approved, it should be Ok, but I guess this is easy to fake too?
When you consider the current battery is made in China anyway, it really is hard to tell what you're getting! I don't mind paying extra for quality, but not just because it has E-machines written on it somewhere!
Anyone with any experience, or recommendations able to help us out?0 -
If you haven't already, try https://www.ukbattery.net
I don't have any connection with the company but a friend recently used them and thought they offered good service and reasonable prices.0
