Double Glazing repair/replace

Hi there,
I thought I'd ask the question on here, as I've never dealt with window firms before, or ever had to have windows fitted.

For over a year now, one of my PVC double glazed windows has been fogged with condensation and water runs in the inside of the unit, between the glass.

I understand it's a simple thing for a company to sort, by replace the glass unit within the window frame.

But, how much does it cost roughly, and I don't suppose anyone has any recommendations for a firm in the Leicester area?

Thanks!

You don't need to go to a DG Firm. They will charge you top dollar!

Try a local glaziers/ glass merchants. Depending on size from £60 upwards.

    thanks guys.
The window is about 1m wide by about 70cm tall, but £60 ish sounds like I should have got it changed long ago!
I didn't realise you could get firms that were 'glaziers' rather than the full whack SafeStyle types. Cheers again.
  • Hi - I have been quoted £3.3k inc VAT to replace a living and bedroom bay window and a 3rd bedroom size window. Does this sound about right? I am based in Watford.

Why have you added a different topic to the end of an out of date post? You should start a new thread if you want any one to take an interest.
