Is LPI same as PPI

I have a loan with Lloyds TSB and want to claim back my insurance but have noticed that it refers to the insurance as a 'loan for loan protection insurance' and not a PPI. Can I still claim for this?

So basically like with most loan insurance the "single policy premium" has simply been added onto the balance of the loan.

Yes... if you think you were mis-sold get that ball rolling and complain.

As Jim says, yes its the same, just worded differently.

Where its mainly called Payment Protection Insurance (PPI), lloyds call it Loan Payment Insurance/loan protection insurance, but its classed as the same really.

If you want to make reclaim due to being mis sold the insurance, you would send your letter or questionnaire that replaced the template letter on this site to the address below.

Yes it is the same, have just sent my questionnaire off to the address mentioned above.Now have to wait, do it and good luck! I'm so glad I came on this forum as I wouldn't have been aware of the insurance that has been added to my loans, so thanks everyone!:j x
