How long do Ebay hold your details

I have been suspended from ebay for selling items that I shouldn't even though they were not listed on the prohibited section. I tried opening another account to sell other items and again I was suspended as my account was associated with the previously suspended account. How long do they keep details on file, I made a genuine mistake and they want me to send all kinds of details to thier offices to lift the suspension, but I cannot be bothered to do this, is there any other way I can get round this, can I ask them to destroy all history related to my accounts?
Thanks for you help in advance
Steve

I don't believe there is any time limit, after all computer systems can hold information for ever.

Usually though if you have tried to open a second account while suspended that would mean an automatic permanent ban. The original suspension notice from ebay would have explained clearly that you were not allowed to use ebay while suspended.

If you want to get back into ebay you may have no choice but to submit the id they are asking for.

  • Hi,
I was selling all defunt police items I have that are no longer used or have collected over the years.
They tell you that you cannot open another account, but I have several times, it just goes to show how safe ebay and Paypal really are.
