Nationwide Rate Change Alert

Nationwide is currently inviting members with maturing bonds ( e.g. Christmas Bonds from 3, 2, and 1 year ago ) to reinvest the money in bonds.
The bonds offered are not at the cutting edge as bonds go vis a vis the interest rates.
However from 1st of December 2006 Nationwide Interest Rates will change.
Meanwhile I will postpone my decision as to what to do with my maturing bonds until after December the first.
This is not financial advice ... Just what I am doing.

As I recall, Nationwide usually announce their savings rate changes before they come into effect. So you ought to be able to make the decision fairly soon.0

Thats what one of their experts told me regarding mortgages so never gave me an urgent appointment, went in on a Thursday at around 3-4pm and wnet away to think about it over the weekend....
Was out all day Friday and returned at half 4 to a message saying 'ironically' they have had an email and rates are changing from close of business so would need to come in and make the switch to get the free or low cost switch and interest rate!
Ironic! I gave them ironic all right...not that it did much good0
