No other advice to offer but thought it was worthwhile posting this. When I fill up the car with petrol, I always put an odd amount in, ie £15.78, £11.62 etc so that any transactions that may be duplicated are easier to spot (and hopefully easier to resolve)Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End

That's a smart thing to do. I did but it wasn't intentional. It was £40.11 so a weird amount.0 -
I'd just go and full up the exact same amount, attend the counter and provide a copy of the receipt for the pre paid fuel.
I bet they'll be a bit quicker to respond to you then.0 -

Under the Visa Chargeback scheme I can contact my bank who are responsible for contacting the merchants bank. I downloaded the template letter and will send that off asap. I will probably ring Shell HO on Monday first just to see.
Shame the staff in Natwest did not know of this!
If you want to raise a debit card transaction dispute (Visa Chargeback) you need to call 01702 271408 option 1
You need to make sure that the transaction is showing on your statement first with a narrative as the transaction may disappear from your account when the system updates etc.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -

Cool, thanks. When you say "with a narrative" I assume you mean the merchant name and not just the amount?0 -
