We bought a mattress from a large store, £900 reduced £600 we paid £200 deposit then had a call to pay remaining £300 as stated on the order paperwork !!!,So hubby went in store paid and mattress was delivered then a call from the store to say we have to pay extra £100 due to an error on the paperwork as the assistant didn`t add the figures correctly, don`t know how we stand?

What does the initial order form say? if that says £600 then you might well owe them another £100.0
-
the order form signed by both parties says, order total £599,less payment received £199,balance to pay £300?0
-
So you owe them £100 as per your contract.0
-
You signed an order form agreeing to pay £599, so you owe them £100.0
-
so they don't want an 'extra' £100, they want the £100 you have yet to pay.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Had it said order total £499 less deposit of £199, balance £300 and they then said they miscalcluated and tried to add an extra £100 then you would have a case to argue.

As above, pay them, if it's only fair.0
