Bluetooth not working on laptop

My OH has a Lenovo T60 laptop which has Bluetooth installed...used it several times in the past to transfer pics from phone as my phone lead has disappeared. Went to do the same today but it seems we cant get his bluetooth working. It seems to say we need to turn the radio transceiver on but we've no idea what this means. I read the Function F5 would bring it up but that doesn't seem to do anything. He hasn't knowingly changed anything so we're
a bit stumped as to why it's gone off. Any ideas?
