Bread making - Where did I go wrong?

2»

Comments

  • I made white bread rolls using my BM, the recipe was in my Morphy Richards BM book. I brushed with butter before baking, as per the recipe. Cooled under a tea towel, as I do my bread. Mine were quite soft on the outside, but had a cakey texture, whereas I frequently make white bread and it is fine. Any ideas?

I dust over the rolls with flour before they go into the oven for a soft crust.

Hey.. I've just acquired a breadmaker but am a bit worried that I may goof up!

I assumed it would all be quite simple- but it seems there are little extra bits i need to do. But that's fine because this forum (and others like it here) have such good advice.

I'll let you know how my first bake goes!
