After reading a posting on MSE, I tried the above as they were offering free anti scratch and anti glare coatings.

I got Bench glasses, coatings and the postage for £20, I was advertised as being £9.99 all in, but I needed the have a prism in my perscription so an extra £10 was charged for this. My last pair of Bench glasses from Optical Express were £170! so the extra £10 was neither here nor there.

Anyways I just wanted to post a quick 'Praise', because I was slightly dubious, but I am Very Impressed and Planning on buying a second pair.

Hope this helps someone...

I thought so too, but taking a term that was once the 'playground taunt' to a mainstream phase that isn't an insult, can only be a good thing. Plus you'll never forget there name.

unfortunately i have to disagree about speckyfoureyes - ordered a pair of playboy glasses and the lenses just don't fit the frames properly, overhanging at the sides. this could well be the style of the frame, but it means that vision is incredibly blurry at the far left and right sides of the frames. consequently they give you a headache if you wear them!

i spoke to customer services on the phone and was advised to mark on the lenses where vision became blurry, and send them back. i sent them back the next day, and now it's 2 weeks later and i haven't heard a word back from them, despite sending emails to chase.

would just advise using them with caution - if you have tried and tested your chosen frames, then go ahead. but if you're taking a gamble on frames that look nice online, just be a little wary. i took the risk and sadly it didn't pay off this time.

    Hiya,
was this in a sale or something? I am looking at their site now as I'll be needing new glasses in the very near future and even their 'basic' ones seem to be coming in at £25.

I'm not very good at succinct. Why say something in 10 words when 100 will do?
