SAGEM modem driver Windows 7

Hi all, back again to hopefully help out a friend.
I have just installed Windows 7 (over XP) on a friends PC but it now fails to recognize the SAGEM Fast 800 modem. I have looked for the latest drivers but can't seem to find anything unless I am not looking in the right places!
So, is there a compatible Windows 7 driver for this modem?
If not, will he need to buy a new router or do you think Tiscali (his internet provider) will offer him one pre-set to plug & play?
I have an old Orange Livebox that he could use for now but unsure how to set it up with the Tiscali connection.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Have you tried this: http://support.sagemcom.com/site/driver/SAGEM-Fast800-A_4_8.zip
It says it's Vista compatible, so it MAY work with Win70 -
Far better off with a router, and you should be able to get a free one out of talk talk/tiscali if you ask!!

Thanks for the help, I will try the link suggested and report back if all is well.
Yes, I agree that a new router would be a better option.
Thank you.0 -
to set up a router you'll need the ISP username and password...
for tiscali it's normally the primary e-mail address (e.g. GunJack@tiscali.co.uk) and the password which was provided when he signed up.
Pop these into the right part of the router's setup page and that'll connect......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -

Great thanks.
I have just pedalled to his house and back. The driver installed ok leaving no exclamation mark in Device Manager but still says there's a driver issue when trying to connect.
Now he is going to call Tiscali for a new router.
Thanks for everyone's help. Great forum and team.0
