TV headphones for hard of hearing

Hi - can anyone recommend wireless headphones for watching TV. My Mum is getting very hard of hearing and has the TV up astronomically loud - which is painful for the rest of us. She hates wearing her hearing aid!

We've had a look at the RNID site which has a few recommendations for headphones to wear so that other people can listen at a normal volume but they seem very expensive.
Does anyone use these and recommend a product or know of cheaper alternatives?

Thanks

This may sounds silly but wouldn't regular wireless headphones you get out of argos.
Having both the TV and headphones working at the same time would depend on the TV and other devices connected to it.

Hi, My husband has some and they are called TV ears. The transmitter plugs into the audio sockets (black and red) on the TV and of course the headphones are wireless. It comes with a charger which you can put the headphones in to charge whenever you are not using them.

It got to the stage that the whole street could hear our TV and hub by was still saying he could not hear it. The TV ears work very well.

We bought them at costco for about £35.00 but if you haven't got a membership amazon sell them. http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_0_7?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=tv+ears&sprefix=tv+ears
