When looking at the cards on this site I am wondering if this would be right.

If your average spend is £5-6k a year the HBOS clarity card (having the reward account as well) would give you a combined cashback of £120 surly on the above spend this beats every other cashback card?

Ideally you would spend anything beyond £300 a month on a different cashback card.

The savvy consumer would have the Reward current account anyway...even as a standalone product, ie not used as your main account.

They'd then spend only the £300 required each month (£3,600 per annum) to bag the £5 per month on the Reward Clarity card, and the remaining £2,400 (in your example) would go on another 1% cashback card making an additional £24 per year (£36 if it was fuel/supermarket spend on the [up to] 1.5% MBNA Amex cashback card).
