Tracking lost Ipod

Hi guys, this is a bit of a long shot but here goes.....My daughter has recently misplaced her Ipod touch. I am almost certain it is only around the house somewhere. My question is, is there anyway of us tracking it just incase it has been lost outside? We have tried the facetime to see if we can hear it just incase it is in a drawer or behind the cushions but with no joy.

Did you enable Mobile Me and "Find my iPhone/iPod"? If so, you should be able to track its location and make it beep at you.

They have already tried making it ring.

Contact the NSA in the States and see if they can track it on one of their satellites?

If it is registered with Apple then the s/n should be traceable if someone else tries to use it.

Thanks guys, I have already had the house upside down. Gonna spend the whole day looking again tomorrow. It is registered with Apple prowla......

She never enabled this, she wasn't even aware of it thanks. If & when its found i will make sure she sets this up.

A laptop with wireless network sniffing software may help. You would need to generate some network traffic.
