Is that a good move?
A couple of questions:
1. I have set google as the default serch engine....how do I set it to a UK search?
2. If I click on a link in Yahoo mail, it opens up a new window, not a new tab. How do I change that?

Hi Mick it's in google toolbar..option,,buttons..click UK.
Have yet to work out what tabs do that windows doesn't.
I go in and out of the browser via desktop shortcuts., that, plus windows on windows, what more do people want.0 -

I believe it takes up far more resources having separate windows and personally I have other applications open and find it easier to switch from taskbar between apps and one browser rather than having taskbar filled with browsers."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Not sure how to change settings but if you hold down ctrl and click on link it should force it to open in a new tab."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

On my IE7 display is a google address bar with a magnifier type icon beside it and beside that is a button to press for other search engine providers.0 -
Oh....IC. The only reason I have google toolbar is because it's got a quick button for yahoo mail0

Some IE7 Settings
Now with opening Tabs and the like Once IE7 is installed click on Tools, Internet Options, Then on settings under the heading tabs, and then make sure theses options are ticked for best effect.
Enabled tabbed Browsing
Warn me when closing multiple tabs
Open new tabs next to the curret tab
Open home page for new tabs instead of blank page
>>>> most importantly for tabbed browsing is > Let internet explorer decide how pop ups should open (this is because IE7 thinks its own tabs are pop ups "Sometimes")
A new tab in the current window
The other options you can play with and just jot down what options were default.
The above options gave me the best result but you may want to play with them as said.0 -

This might work. In IE, Click Tools - Internet Options - General tab. Click Settings in Tabs section and select 'Always open pop-ups in a new tab'.
The problem is that evem Gookle (UK) seems to default to a world wide (=US) search.
I've made Google UK my homepage and Wikuipedia my search....that works for me!
The other solution worked a treat. Thanks!0
