Upgrading to Santander Zero - do I get another 5% for 12 months

Dear gsmmad
When I tried and they said, it was over the phone. It could probably work over the branch. Thank you for telling us your experience.
If more people tried it and confirm about this, it will be great and we will be sure the they apply this consistently
When you say you must do a switch from a different bank. It is you need to close your account from another Bank ? or just switching the DD and SO.You can open a zero account if you already have a account getting the 5%. Just pop into a store and do it, to open a zero account from scratch you must do a switch from a different bank.
You can have as many account as you like , there is no limit. Currently I myself have 2 preferred accounts, one reward and one zero. All earning 5% interest with 10k split between them. I transfer 1000k through them using my online banking and i get around 30-35 quid interest each month after tax.0 -
just switch dd's and s/o's
the account will remain open0 -
well if you meet the criteria for the £100 then yeh you would get that.
The criteria is doing a switcher and at least 2 DD's SO's moving over and being paid once within 11 weeks. Also for £100 to go in each month and also you cannot have had a a&l or santander account already or within the last 3 months.
I did end up with £100 although I did have a account with them already which I wasnt suppose to get. Now done another swither and got a letter saying I should get it as long as my direct debits move over, which has just started. I think I may end up with another £100 which Im not suppose to get.
