Motorbike repair took longer than quoted for.

Hi,
My OH just rang me and said that he's been charged for more time than originally quoted for.
Now don't get me wrong, he doesn't mind paying for it, just feels a bit miffed that instead of giving him a call and telling him that it's gonna take a bit longer and therefore costing a bit more, they just went ahead and did it.
Like I say, he would have said yes and authorised the extra work, but shouldn't they have called him?

I agree with you a phone call should have happened.

and we will never, ever return.0 -
Written quote.
It itemised everything. Including labor costs, the new parts, vat etc.I am a Mortgage Adviser

The clues in the word 'Quote' if it had been a fixed price it would have said 'Fixed Price''The More I know about people the Better I like my Dog'

Actually the clue is in the word "QUOTE" not "ESTIMATE", a quote is usually accepted as being the final price, an estimate is just that, an estimate, that ma be subject to change!!
Exactly :T
Op, The price QUOTED is the price you should pay, no messingmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
