The following story is in the news today: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-12783389
It's actually an update on some old news (the Lapland theme park that was a load of rubbish and attracted numerous complaints). It transpires that those who use misleading advertising to lure in customers who end up disappointed with what they've paid for can expect 13 months or so in prison.
Hats off to Dorset Trading Standards for bringing justice to those who have been ripped off. Now we need many more prosecutions of this kind for the companies up and down the country who make their customers' lives a misery. Utility and Telephone / ISP companies are often complained about in this regard.
So now, all advertisers be warned! Give what you promise in your ads, or else!
