Hi,
I have a hp deskjet F4180 printer that was running fine, but today has been painfully slow.
I am trying to print out 30 pages, it prints 1 then takes at least 30 minutes before it prints the next.
I have tried reinstalling it but that solved nothing.
Does anyone know what could be causing this?

You sure you have the settings on 'quick print'? Sounds like its printing in 'best quality' you might want to check your print settings. Saying that, half an hour is a long time..........hmmmmm.
Does it print slowly on all programs? Such as word and Excel?0 -
Check what dpi you have. The higher it is, the slower it will be.
As for the 30 minutes wait? I suggest you try and borrow another USB cable. Try that. If that does'nt help, try the printer on another computer.
If it is still slow on the other computer, the printer is on it's last legs.Motto: 'If you don't ask, you don't get!!'

Thanks for repling,
print speed is set to normal.
Not sure how to check dpi?
I am just updating the drivers, so hopefully that will fix it, I hope.0 -

Hi,
it seems as though the problem wasn't with the printer, but the program I was printing from.
I transfered the document to word & it printed fine.
Thanks for all the help.0
