Fight them on the Beaches!!

I can't believe that I can actually claim those extortionate bank charges back!

I know I signed the contract with my bank, but as my Husband gets paid monthly, we needed the overdraft. I think that £35 is a wee bit high a charge to have to pay when you go a few quid over.

Why can't they send you a reminder letter first and if you don't rectify the situation then charge? They make too much money that's why.

How can people pay off their overdrafts and get back into the black when at every opportunity the fat cats try and drag you back down? Surely the fact that you have gone over the agreed limit in the first place shows that you don't have the available funds to pay them?

By the end of the month my family and I are usually surviving on Fish Fingers and Chips in the first place without banks adding more money worries. We don't over spend and we try to live economically, but we do have things to pay for such as Rent and Council Tax. How are we meant to pay hundreds of pounds of charges on top when we barely scrape buy in the first place?

My Grandma told me you used to be able to go and talk to your local branch Manager and get things straightened out. Now you get a snooty 'Finance Manager' who is no help at all.

I can't wait to see if we get any money back and stick one to 'The Man'. I just hope that this makes the banks think about what they are doing and try to rectify the situation, in favour of their customers not themselves, for a change.
