Car Insurance Help!! Part 2

Recently I was was involved in a non fault collision. The driver accepted liability and my insurer was contacted. Due to the value of car and cost of repair its considered a write off. I received an email from my insurer stating that my car is a Cat C write off since 2007 which was news to me. I purchased a HPI online which confirm what my insurer had said. I currently have a courtesy car via my insurance and they have not invalidated my policy (yet!), eventhough they do not insure Category write offs. My question is 'Where does this leave me?' HELP PLEASE!!

The above was my previous post.

Today I have spoke to my insurance company. They stated that due to the time its taken to get a response from their validation department they have contacted the 3rd Party insurers for me to claim through them direct?? My car is still with the recommended mechanics and I have courtesy car which is suppossed to run due to the 3rd Party disputing the validity of my policy. Where do I go from here???

Why is the third party disputing your own insurance arrangements?

I think you may have misunderstood something, as your claim should be directed at the third party, and even if you have no insurance at all that is irrelevant to the third party paying for your damages.

    Keep pursuing the third party!
