The Solicitors held my deeds for several years and sent them to me a couple of years ago. They are still trading and I still have a mortgage outstanding.0

like a previous poster I was also sent my deeds by Abbey when I remortgaged one time back in 2007,they sit in the bottom of my wardrobe along with a load of junk! One of my friends wouldn't believe I had them as the house has not yet been paid off but that's what happened.mortgage free 3/10/12:)0

Wow
thanks for all the information, its seems like there are quite a few possibilities
I think that i shall give the solicitors a call in a few days, i really hope that they haven`t been destroyed when they were digitised as i said before there is so much historical information included that i really would like to save.
I still have all the paperwork safely tucked away from when we bought the house so i shall dig it all out and have a read through.
Thanks everyone!
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0
