Hi my IVA finishes in Sept I will have had it for 7 yrs, how soon can I get a mortgage? How can i build up my credit rating?

You can build up your credit file by taking out credit and repaying it, it can take years. See the sticky at the top of the page.
You can destroy your credit file a lot quicker by having lots of searches carried out on you in a short space of time. So do a credit check on yourself first.
As for a mortgage, talk to a whole market broker AND have at least 25% cash plus £3,000 for all the fees you have to pay.
Dont waste your time talking to the high street as "computer says no!""Dream World" by The B Sharps....describes a lot of the posts in the Loans and Mortgage sections !!!0
