Flydrives can definitely be cheaper when it comes to Vegas - I got a 2 week flydrive for £249pp (with Airtours I think) in June 2005 - they still had some at this price in summer 06. You don't have to even pick up the car of you don't want it - but I have never seen a flight for such a good price! I was there again in September this year - taxi to strip from Airport is next to nothing (depend on how far your hotel is but max $20) but there is a bus too if you are really cash-conscious.
Priceline is fantastic for the high-end hotels (got Venetian for £60pn) but haven't tried it with the mid-range. Have a look at the NYNY hotel website -they do some fantastic deals.
I wish I was going back too!! I hope you have a fantastic time!please listen to MFD - she is a wise woman
