I am totally confused I really dont understand all this number stuff percentages etc and what the thresholds are etc.

You have explained really well its just me I swear im illiterate with numbers lol

I was just trying to play about with the online calculator to work out if I upped my childcare if I would get extra help as If I dont I cant afford it.
Its really hard and im surprised we dont get more help than £40 per month when others I speak to seem to get loads.

I am actually better off working part time as I would come out with the same money because of the childcare costs I have to pay with this job. My previous job was shifts and I am getting made redundant at the end of the month and I got this job full time. Was hoping their would be other part time jobs available but there wasnt so I have to take this job or be jobless and I dont want to risk turning it down incase I do not get anything else part time.

I will double check our p60 when they come in as I have guestimated our salaries this year because hubby has worked so much ot.

Anyway its a long term plan as opposed to short term this job as my son will go to school in 2 years so we will have to work something out.

I really appreciate your help with this and taking the time to work it all out for me.

Good luck with the new job, it'll work out i.m sure.
Forums can be/are a good guide to entitlement and it is good practice to back it up with clarification from the relevant department/specialist with written confirmation to safeguard yourself.
